The British beach hut returns in a dramatic new form

The Dukes Walk Beach Hut Resort has given the classic British Beach Hut a complete overhaul to accommodate families at an affordable price. The design is genius, connecting two huts side by side with a glass break to allow the spacious interior to sell itself and maintaining the exterior as a quintessential British picture.

This Resort is to open in time for Easter 2010 on the North Tyneside Coast, just north of Newcastle and aims for the rental price for one week vary between £300 and £450 depending on the time of year. Not only do the pictures suggest a plush interior with all the mod cons one might demand for a holiday, there will be a concierge service twenty four hours a day. The concept of the Beach Hut Resort is hoping to extend this design throughout Britain and is currently in deep discussions with the appropriate councils and land owners.
Whilst the Beach Hut Resorts reinvent a truly unique aspect to the British landscape, they also encourage domestic spending within the local communities. It is hoped that the new brand of “staycation” will encourage people to re-discover the British coastline and for the British holiday to become, once more, an exhilarating escape for families throughout the year.
