Sophie TannerWriter and Wildlife Editor
Sophie has a BA in English and World Theatre, after graduating, she worked in PR, publishing and tourism marketing in London. She travelled South Africa and Central America where she taught English to indigenous children in the highlands in Mexico. She returned to Brighton three years ago and really enjoyed the relaxed and creative lifestyle here. Since living here she has worked as an author’s assistant and in editorial on a local magazine and completed a NCTJ Journalism postgraduate certificate. She started working at Responsible Travel a year ago as an account manager which involves looking after our members – helping them with online marketing, dealing with enquiries and reporting bookings. She is excited about Responsible Travel News and has taken on the role of environment news editor. She believes it can act as a vital arena for the exchange of ideas and information on responsible tourism. She is inspired by other cultures and what we can teach each other.
